Why do I read, write, and play? “I am tormented with an everlasting itch for things remote. I love to sail forbidden seas, and land on barbarous coasts.” — Herman Melville Much like Ishmael, I tend to escape the mundanities of life by going on adventures. Sometimes those adventures entail swashbuckling fun, sometimes they result in you being the sole survivor of an ocean wreck at the fins of a divine and terrible beast. This metaphor isn't going where I want it to... What I mean to say is that I like a good dive into twisting narratives whether they be in the form of books, movies, or video games (maybe especially video games sometimes). When I'm not indulging in someone else's story, I'm crafting my own. Whether I'm analyzing, storytelling, or reviewing, I hope that what I share on this blog becomes the occasional enlightenment or respite for you as well.
